Koinonia Builders,LLC
A truly personalized approach to building your home . . .
(Article reprinted from “Both Sides of the Bridge” July-August 2007
Issue)
Koinonia: (pronounced Koy-no-NEE-ah) Meaning: communication,
fellowship, or communion.
Past clients will tell you Koinonia Builders will not physically hold your
hand while simplifying the process of building your new home, but their process
comes close. “I’m real happy with Mark,” Koinonia client Chris Jordan, owner of
Luigi's Italian Kitchens, said. Koinonia recently built a new home for Jordan
and his family. The Mark that Chris refers to is Mark Bennett who, with his son,
head Koinonia Builders in Branson, Missouri.
As
the Koinonia name suggests, a foundational keystone to their building approach
is communication. Information gathering is their forte and they begin the
process using an often missing, but important communication ingredient -
listening closely to client needs. They do not take a cookie-cutter approach to
building living space for you and your family. The same thoughtful process is
used whether your new home will be an energy efficient “green” home or a
traditionally built one. Even after initial discussions, the Koinonia fact
gathering continues throughout the building process.
After listening to people who dreaded building a home because of previous
unpleasant experiences, it became Koinonia's mission to make building homes a
pleasurable, fun experience. They will build a home within your budget, not
someone else's idea of what your budget should be. The result? A new home that
fits your family's real life style, and a home that usually has appreciated in
value by move-in day.
“You’re not just like your neighbor. Your needs, your family isn’t the
same. Why should your homes be the same?”
- Mark Bennett
Established in 1965, Koinonia's building experience taught them how to
accurately calculate a home's building cost. That figure becomes the sales price
of the home. If you follow Koinonia's advice about cost-effective features,
ninety-nine percent of time, the finished home appraises at 5 to 10 percent
higher than the sales price, giving you built-in equity.
Koinonia can “build on your flat lot for $275,000.” Mark Bennett said. That
fact is a matter of excitement at Koinonia. Interested in building a “green
home”? There are special financing benefits available for those homes. Bennett
said Koinonia works with green home specialists All-Star Mortgage in Branson.
“99% of the time, the finished home appraises at 5 to 10% higher than the
sales price, giving the home-owner built-in equity.”
- Mark Bennett
What does it take to get started with Koinonia? The first step is to call or
to stop by and chat about the home you envision. It’s that simple. “One customer
came in with a drawing on a napkin,” Bennett said. “Another just had a list of
what rooms they wanted. We can take the home in your imagination, translate that
to a blueprint, and build it.”
“We can build on your flat lot for $275,000, and by the time we’re done,
your home should be worth close to $300,000, not counting the value of your
lot.”
- Mark Bennett
“There are so many choices you can make to truly customize your home,”
Bennett said. “It should be done the way you want it; with the tile you want,
the carpet you want, the cabinets you want. We can go with you to select
lighting. You don't have to pick from choice A or B.”
